 Buyer Responsibility 
Legal status of products: It is the responsibility of the buyer, not the seller, to ascertain, and obey, all applicable local, state, federal and international laws in regard to the possession, and use, of any item purchased from Affordable Heat, LLC. All equipment is sold subject to public law 90-351, title III, U.S.D., Section 2511, and any local, state or federal ordinances. Consult your local and state laws before ordering if you are in doubt. Absolutely no sales to minors. By placing an order, the buyer represents that the products ordered will be used in a lawful manner and that he/she is of legal age. Affordable Heat, LLC will not be held liable for the misuse of any product purchased from us or any of our distributors & dealers.

ANYONE attempting to falsify information or defraud our company in anyway, WILL be turned over to the proper authorities. Any attempts at extortion or entrapment will also be met with swift legal action!

Canadian Duties and Taxes Policy
Goods entering Canada will be inspected by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA_ and assessed for applicable Customs Duties, Taxes and Charges. It is the Importer's responsibility to account for any duties and/or taxes, while ensuring compliance with Customs regulations in Canada.

What does the Canadian Buyer have to do?
Pay Applicable Customs Duties and Taxes
Duties and Taxes must be paid at time of delivery as a C.O.D. to UPS before the product is released to you.  
UPS will make 3 attempts to deliver and collect the C.O.D. 
If after the 3rd attempt a C.O.D. is not collected, the product will be returned to Affordable Heat, LLC. 
A restocking fee of 15% and the shipping fee will be deducted from the customer's refund.

  • You pay duties based on the value of the goods in Canadian funds (duty rates vary according to the type of goods you are importing and the country they came from or were made in)
  • You pay Goods and Services Tax (GST) on all products imported into Canada.  GST is calculated on the items total value (in Canadian $) plus any duties that apply
  • You pay Provincial Sales Tax (PST) on all goods that are taxable under the providence tax base if you live in BC, Ontario, Manitoba, PEI, Saskatchewan or Quebec.  PST is charged according to the provincial tax rate that applies. 
  • You pay Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) instead of GST if you live in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland or Labrador.  HST is calculated on the items total value (in Canadian $) plus any duties that apply.
